Objects in the Loft is a 6,000 square foot gallery showcasing mid-century modern furniture and decorative arts. The 2nd floor New York style loft space and first floor gallery provide the setting for mission, mid-century modern, and vintage rattan furnishings. Objects in the Loft is located in the heart of "antique row" in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Objects In The Loft specializes in mid-century modern furniture (retro furniture) produced between 1930 and 1970. Sometimes this is called "Eames era furniture" after Charles & Ray Eames, probably the greatest designers of American modern furniture. Whether you call it modern furniture, retro furniture, or Eames era furniture it is the hottest area of collecting today.
Although we carry a mix of modern furniture (retro furniture) designers, we always have a selection of pieces designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, Paul McCobb, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb, and Paul Frankl-inspired rattan.
Objects In The Loft specializes in vintage rattan furniture produced primarily in the 1930's and 1940's. Rattan furniture is a favorite in warm climates due to its tropical flavor. Rattan furniture is also modern, durable, and comfortable.
Objects In The Loft carries one of the largest collections of rattan furniture inspired by the famous modern furniture designer Paul Frankl. Frankl was one of the first modern furniture designers to utilize rattan furniture in his projects. Paul Frankl inspired rattan furniture is also know as "Godfather" rattan furniture, a reference to its appearance in the "Godfather" movie.
